Is Temperature Increasing in the USA?
Short Answer: Yes. Comparing the historical average temperature (1900-2019) to the current average (2020-2025) in 112 locations spread across the country. Only one location (Lamar, CO) had a decrease in average temperature. The circled areas had an increase of 3 degrees F or above. Phoenix, AZ and Reno, NV had the highest increases.
What is Happening with Precipitation?
Short Answer: More complicated. The red areas depict where it is dryer. Most of the area east of the dry west have experienced an increase in precipitation. The blue areas have an increase of 4 inches or more with Miami and Albany, NY experiencing the largest increase.
